Yes, 1st Security Bank is financially stable.
- We are well capitalized by all three capital ratio measures (as of March 31, 2010).
- We have recorded earnings in the first quarter of 2010.
- We have a “texas ratio” of 51 (as of March 31, 2010 ), well below the threshold of 100.
The Texas ratio takes the amount of a bank’s non-performing assets and loans, as well as loans delinquent for more than 90 days, and divides this number by the bank’s tangible capital equity plus its loan loss reserve. A ratio of more than 100 (or 1:1) is considered a warning sign.
